CAMP BOW WOW WAUKESHA TO OFFER BEHAVIOR BUDDIES TRAINING
Pet Care Franchise Adds New Service For Customer Base
(Waukesha, WI, March 4, 2013) – Camp Bow Wow, North America’s largest and fastest growing pet care franchise and an Inc 500 company, announces that Camp Bow Wow Waukesha will now be offering a training component to its customers, with the addition of the Behavior Buddies franchise program.
Behavior Buddies training is a progressive and comprehensive initiative for Camp Bow Wow and Home Buddies franchisees wishing to offer dog training. Created to help customers modify their canine’s behavior issues, the training commences in the pet’s home and is specifically tailored to each pooch using proven training methodologies. Camp Bow Wow’s trainers combine extensive knowledge of dog behaviors to modify your pet’s manners.
Through a combination of classroom instruction and daily hands-on experience with shelter dogs over a two-week, intense program held at Camp Bow Wow’s Corporate Headquarters, Kelly Ingui was provided with a full-bodied handling and training experience, unrivaled by most other dog training schools and programs throughout the country. While in the reward-based training, Kelly Ingui learned hands-on dog training, operant conditioning, learning theory, problem solving, neuroscience, behavior issues, advanced behavior issues and more. The level of expertise in diverse methods and use of shelter dogs for unpredictability training has set Camp Bow Wow apart from other pet care facilities across the nation.
Behavior Buddies training includes the following service offerings:
• 3 levels of obedience classes;
• In-home private training;
• Board and Trains, Play and Trains (Camps);
• Walk and Trains (Home Buddies);
• Training for more difficult issues (leash reactivity, resource guarding, etc.);
Kelly commented that “We are thrilled to be offering another great service to our Campers that will help parents and their pups live happy lives together!”
“We are excited that Camp Bow Wow Waukesha has joined the ranks of Camp Bow Wow locations offering Behavior Buddies,” said Heidi Ganahl, CEO and Founder of Camp Bow Wow. “Training your dog is of the utmost importance in helping to foster a happy and healthy environment for both owner and your pet”
According to the Humane Society of the United States, 6 to 8 million companion animals wind up in shelters each year. It is estimated that approximately 60% of dogs are euthanized, and many of these dogs are in shelters as a result of easily adjustable behavior problems. As such, Camp Bow Wow is committed to providing its Behavior Buddies trainers with the skills that they need to help pet parents train their dogs, ultimately lowering the frequency of dogs put up for adoption.
