Christ the King Announces Holy Week Services
Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Genesee St., Delafield, will present special worship and fellowship services during Holy Week, beginning with Palm Sunday, March 24, through Easter Sunday, March 31, with all services open to the community and in-town visitors.
Palm Sunday, March 24, worship at 8:15 and 10 a.m. will feature a presentation of the drama, “The Cry of the Whole Congregation.” At 9:15 a.m. the congregation is invited to an Easter Egg Hunt in the Great Hall, and also at 10 a.m. will be a Health and Wellness Forum by Chef Zak Groh on Healthy Eating.
On Maundy Thursday, March 28, the congregation will offer worship at 7:00 p.m. in the Great Hall. Good Friday Service, March 29, will be held in the sanctuary at 7 p.m.
The traditional Holy Saturday Easter Vigil will be held in the sanctuary at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30. On Easter Sunday, March 31, the congregation is offered three worship opportunities. An Easter Sunrise service will begin at 6 a.m. Easter worship will also be held at 8:15 and 10 a.m. All worship services are held in the sanctuary. Breakfast will be served in the Great Hall from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
An ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) church, Christ the King has nearly 1,000 parishioners and welcomes new members. Weekly worship is held on Saturdays at 5 p.m. and Sundays at 8:15 and 10 a.m.
