Christ the King Church of Delafield To Hold Sunday, Sept. 8, Rally Day
Christ the King Lutheran Church of Delafield, at 1600 S. Genesee St., is opening its doors to parishioners and the general public for its Rally Day 2013 celebration, on Sunday, September 8.
The event will begin with a 9 a.m. worship service, followed by everyone being invited to the Great Hall for food, fun, and things for kids and adults. For kids there’ll be games, stick-on tattoos, and other activities kids will enjoy. For adults, there’ll be a chance to register children for Sunday School and confirmation classes, to learn more about All God’s Children Preschool that’s held at Christ the King, as well as to learn about ongoing Christ the King building projects and remodeling. Interested adults may also sign up to help with fellowship activities, outreach programs, membership, church council, music programs, worship services, women's ministries, and hear about Sunday Adult Bible Study taught by Pastor Gary Johnson. A disc jockey will entertain during lunch, with door prizes given out and booths to visit.
Pastor Johnson indicated that visitors are encouraged to attend this gala event and see firsthand how vibrant Christ the King Lutheran Church is in regard to its parishioners as well as the community in general.
An ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) church, Christ the King has nearly 1,000 parishioners and welcomes new members. Worship services are held every Sunday at 9 a.m.
