Santa Lucia Festival & Craft Fair Dec. 7
WAUKESHA – Celebrate the start of advent by attending the traditional “Santa Lucia Festival of Lights” at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 200 Richard St., Saturday Dec. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The festival includes a Swedish breakfast served at 9 a.m.by church members in traditional Swedish dress. It includes Swedish meatballs, fruit soup and pepparkakor cookies. Breakfast costs $10 and tickets must be preordered by calling the church at 547-5100. A la carte food items may be purchased to-go through out the festival.
There will be a craft sale with many types of unique hand-make gifts, a bake sale and a secret Santa gift shop for children. Raffle tickets will be sold for gift baskets and a beautiful king-sized quilt.
Entertainment will be provided by the Waukesha South High School madrigal choir. Children of the church will perform the Santa Lucia processional. There will be artisan demonstrations of rosemaling, Swedish wood carving, Swedish wood chipping and rug hooking. There is something fun and entertaining for all ages!
