Kids Can Create a Masterpiece with Youth Visual Art Classes
December 9, 2013—Hartford, WI— The Schauer Community School of the Arts announces winter visual art classes and workshops for students ages 5 to 12. Youth visual arts classes encourage individual expression and provide opportunities to work directly with professional artists. Classes will be held at the Schauer Arts & Activities Center, 147 N. Rural Street in downtown Hartford. Art supplies are included and no experience is needed.
Youth winter visual art classes include:
Asian Painting for ages 7-12 on Mondays, January 13-27 from 4:30-5:30 pm.
Learn how to use the loaded brush technique to paint flowers, wildlife, and nature scenes on rice paper with Asian brushers. One project will be completed in each class.
Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids Art Workshop for ages 5+ on Friday, January 24 from 5:30-6:30 pm.
Arrive early to the West Bend – The Silver Lining Family Series performance of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids and create an adorable puppy picture. Parents are invited to watch and assist their little artist as they create their picture, which can be brought home as a unique keepsake.
Portraits Made Easy for ages 7-12 on Mondays, February 10-24 from 4:30-5:30 pm. Uncover the mysteries of the human face by using shapes and proportions to complete two masterpieces, one with charcoal and one with pastels.
