Ballroom is Back at the Schauer Center!

December 12, 2013—Hartford, WI— The Schauer School of the Dance announces their winter/spring 2014 session of ballroom dance classes for ages 14 and up. Beginner and intermediate level classes are divided into four sessions. No partner is needed, students are invited to dress comfortably and be ready to move. All classes are held at the Creative Arts Studios located on 30 S. Johnson Street, Hartford.

Instructor Mike Mattek has been teaching ballroom dancing since the mid-90s. He has studied ballroom dancing under some of the best performers and instructors in the Milwaukee area, primarily in International Style, along with American Style patterns and techniques.

Beginner Ballroom 6:00-7:00 pm
Session 1: Tuesdays, January 14 – February 4, Fox Trot
Session 2: Samba
Session 3: Tango
Session 4: Wedding Sampler
Each session, new students will learn how the building blocks of ballroom and basic patterns for each type of dance.

Intermediate Ballroom 7:15-8:15 pm
Session 1: Fox Trot
Session 2: Samba
Session 3: Tango
Session 4: Bolero
Experienced dancers will learn more advanced patterns, separate from the basic patterns learned in Beginner Ballroom.

Discounts are offered if students register for all four sessions, prior to the first class. Private lessons are available for those students who are preparing for a special event or would like to hone the skills they learned in the group classes.
