Christ the King Lutheran Church Announces New Pastor

Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1600 N. Genesee Street, Delafield, has announced that Reverend Lindsay Jordan will join the church as its new senior pastor on February 16. His formal installation will be on Sunday, February 23rd. The event will be followed by a meet and greet reception in the CTK Great Hall.

Prior to his new position at Christ the King, Reverend Jordan spent the past seven years at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Viroqua, Wis. Before that he had been pastor at a Lutheran Church in Holmen, Wis., and served as pastor at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ridgway, Pennsylvania.

Reverend Jordan also served as youth director for Faith Lutheran Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before moving to St. Paul to enter the seminary. He was graduated from Luther Seminary and ordained in 1995. He is now completing a doctorate in congregational mission and leadership at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN. He will graduate with his Doctor of Ministry this May.

“We are pleased to welcome Reverend Jordan to Christ the King Lutheran Church,” said Rick Kunstmann, congregational president. “He is a dynamic, personable, outgoing, and fun-loving person as well as a devoted family man with his wife Kim who is also a pastor and teenage sons, Paul and Sam. He will also bring great experience to helping our youth program grow and prosper, along with leading our congregation into the future with faith and enthusiasm.”

An ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) church, Christ the King has approximately 800 parishioners and welcomes new members. Worship services are held at 9 a.m. every Sunday.
