Farmland Preservation Tax Credits
WAUKESHA, Wis. – Would you like to claim a tax credit of $7.50 per acre? Better yet, $10.00 an acre? If you live in the Ashippun-Oconomowoc Agricultural Enterprise Area, you may be eligible to claim these income tax credits. Landowners participating in the Farmland Preservation Program (FPP) can collect tax credits, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
A Waukesha County Department of Parks and Land Use - Land Resources Division staff member will be available by appointment at the Oconomowoc Town Hall on Monday, February 24th from 12 pm to 4 pm. This is an opportunity to meet individually with landowners, help landowners fill out the Farmland Preservation Agreement application and answer overall questions about the program. If you already participate in FPP, this would be a chance to ensure that you remain eligible in order to continue claiming the tax credit.
To schedule an appointment on Monday, February 24th, or to learn more about FPP, please contact Karen Doyle at (262) 896-8306 or firstname.lastname@example.org .
