Act Out with First Stage Theater Camp at the Schauer Center
May 29, 2014 – Hartford, WI – The Schauer Community School of the Arts is excited to partner with First Stage Children’s Theater of Milwaukee to present a Theater Academy Camp Monday-Friday, June 23-27. First Stage is committed to providing high quality theater experiences for young people and their families. The week-long theater camp teaches life skills through stage skills. First Stage’s professional staff strives to provide the best theater training while being conscious of the development of each student, helping them to take their next steps as an actor and as a person.
First Stage Theater Academy’s half day camp introduces students entering grades K5-2 to the process of theater by bringing storybooks to life. Students will explore motivations, choices, and actions while creating dialogue and improvising scenes to develop acting skills. The half-day session will run from 9:00-11:30 am.
The full day camp is a fun, yet disciplined program designed for students entering grades 3-8. New and returning students will spend the week broadening their theater skills. Camp curriculum will focus on work in acting, voice and movement, improvisation, musical theater, and more. The full day session will run from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.
