Retzer Nature Center Summer Camps 2014
Retzer Nature Center, at S14 W28167 Madison Street in Waukesha, is proud to announce its 2014 summer camps.
Habitat Explorers June 23 – 27 (9 am to Noon): Campers discover a world of wildlife just outside our back door in a variety of habitats. First, they decorate their own walking sticks and stepping stones, then strike out along our magical trails in search of clues that may lurk behind each tree and flower, down at the pond, or in the forest and prairies. Registration deadline: June 16. Capacity: 20 kids. Fee: $80.
Earth And Space Adventure Camp July 7 – 11 (8:30 am to Noon): Campers travel out of this world and back to learn about planet Earth. At the Horwitz Planetarium, campers voyage to different corners of the galaxy to explore. Back on Earth, campers unearth the secrets of natural life on our planet. Cool projects and thrilling experiments highlight this week of fun and study. Registration deadline: June 30. Capacity: 40 kids. Fee: $100.
Provided daily are hands-on activities, survival problem puzzles, hiking, and snacks. Programs are for ages 7-12. Each camper is asked to bring drinking water and a lunch. For registration and more information, phone 262-970-6680.
