Create Unique Art this Summer at the Schauer Center
June 9, 2014—Hartford, WI— The Schauer Community School of the Arts announces summer visual art classes for ages 16 and above. Adult visual arts classes engage the community in the creative process through a number of mediums ranging from painting to clay creation. Classes encourage self-discipline, focus, and creative exploration.
Offerings for the Summer include:
Garden Art In Clay on Tuesdays, July 8-29 from 6:00-8:00 pm
Create unique clay art objects for the garden! Using simple techniques, instructor Andee Warren will demonstrate how to hand-build a creative planter, watering can, plant marker, stepping stone or garden sculpture. These durable works of art will adorn your garden with a charming, personal touch for years to come. No experience in ceramics needed. Supplies included except for sketchbook.
Painting Studio on Thursdays, July 17 – August 21 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Create paintings, explore various mediums, and focus on expressing your subject. Both beginner and experienced painters will use their creative energy, technique, and inspiration. Instructor Frank Hoeffler will encourage students to find and explore their own artistic style. Oil, watercolor, and acrylic mediums welcome. Supplies not included.
Drawing on Thursdays, July 17 – August 21 from 12:00-3:00 pm
Designed for all experience levels who have an interest in learning how to draw or sketch -- or for artists who simply want to improve their skills. Under the instruction of Frank Hoeffler, students cover all of the techniques and tools needed to create values, shading, and textures. Supplies not included. Supply list available online.
