Ninth Annual GMAC Golf Outing Tees Off Aug. 15, Benefiting Two Charities

Sussex, Wis. – The ninth annual GMAC Benefit Golf Outing tees off again Aug. 15, with two charity groups benefiting from the full day of fun and food at Ironwood Golf Course.

Grounds Maintenance Services and ActionCOACH of Elm Grove lead the golf event, which raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin. The 2013 GMAC outing drew more than 200 participants, generating more than $15,000 for the two organizations.

Shotgun start is at 10 a.m. at Ironwood Golf Course, W270-N6166 Moraine Drive, Sussex.

“It’s hard to believe how this golf outing has grown in nine years, and for this we thank all our sponsors, prize donors and everyone who participates,” said Todd Ruedt, owner of Grounds Maintenance Services. “We’ve added even more opportunities this year to win contests and great prizes, and plan for our biggest event yet to raise money for two great causes.”

Among the new additions this year is a “Best-Dressed Golfer” contest for men and women.

The cost per golfer is $125. The fee includes 18 holes, range access, drink tickets, eligibility for hole prizes and door prizes, lunch, buffet dinner, and silent and live auctions. A dinner-and-auctions package is available for $50.

Numerous event sponsorships are available, starting at $250, for businesses and organizations to participate and support its two charity recipients. Silent auction items will also be accepted.

Event registration and more details are available by visiting www.groundsmaintenancewi.com and clicking the “GMAC Annual Benefit Golf Outing” box in the upper right corner.

Grounds Maintenance Services was a top-five finalist in 2013 for “Best Community Impact” in ActionCOACH’s annual “Business Excellence Awards” competition. Nominations were submitted from around the world. Ruedt, a Brookfield native, has more than 25 years experience in landscaping and lawn maintenance. His company has a long record of supporting organizations dedicated to improving the Brookfield community.
