St. Mary School Student Council kicks off Red Ribbon Week

Student council members kicked off Red Ribbon Week today. Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, drug and violence prevention awareness campaign that is observed annually across our nation. The theme is “Red Ribbon Round-Up.” Red Ribbons were handed out to the students. Students wore western clothing and for the assembly, we had a speaker, cheers, a little line dancing, an explanation of Red Ribbon Week and this year’s game of lassoing a “horse” with a hoola hoop.
