Photos, Firetrucks and Fun in Delafield...All For A Great Cause.
Illustrations Photography, a Delafield based family portraiture business, will be hosting a unique charity event on March 21st at the new Delafield Fire Station. The event will give families an opportunity to see the firetrucks and the new station in an up-close and personal setting and it will also give attendees a chance to have professional portraits taken of their child(ren) with a firetruck as a colorful and fun backdrop.
In return for a donation to Noah's Never Ending Rainbow, participants will receive a digital image from the session and some great coupons donated by local businesses such as The Children's Play Gallery and McDonalds.
Noah's Never Ending Rainbow, located in Kenosha, is a national Trisomy organization. Their purpose is to advocate, educate and support families with children born with trisomy and other chromosomal disorders. Kelly Johnsen, photographer and owner of Illustrations Photography, says she chose this charity to work with because of her personal connection with trisomy effected families.
"I am a volunteer photographer with an infant bereavement organization known as Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. Many of the families that require our portrait services are those delivering babies with trisomy anomalies," Johnsen said. "I want to do everything I can to help families having to face something so difficult."
The event, called Let's Color Noah's Never Ending Rainbow, takes place from 10am - 2pm on March 21st. The minimum donation is $25 for one child and one digital image. Add on an additional child (or more) for $15 and you will also get a second digital image. You can get more information and book a spot at this fun family event by calling 262-436-9417 or visiting the Illustrations Photography website. www.illustrationsphotos.com.
In addition to the portrait event, a raffle is also being held. There are loads of prizes including gift certificates to local restaurants and attractions and you could also win a complete on-location portrait package with Illustrations Photography valued at over $200. The drawing will take place on March 28th and tickets may be purchased at the event or by calling 262-436-9417. The cost is $5 for one ticket or 5 tickets for $20.
This is sure to be a great community event and fun for the whole family.
